Well, We've been to quite a few farm events and eaten lots of great food, from B-Que to fajitas to sandwiches. I have always wanted to have a farm event and serve, you guessed it, specialty hot dogs! So, now that we are participating in Cheryl's farm event, I enthusiastically suggested we have a (drum roll, please) ** Hot Dog Bar ** -- with pictures and instructions to help guests make their own Chicago style dog, New York Dog, Coney Island dog, etc. Now that's good eating and good fun for families!
Doesn't a yummy speciality hotdog sound great right now!! Now, you know you want to come and make it!
In researching some to find 'instructions' and pictures on making these dogs, I found some fabulous sites. I also found some easy hints...one of which we will benefit from. We will be making a Chicago Dog inspired relish rather than having the separate fixings. Hey, I have kids and know that everyone appreciates easy to make, faster to eat foods! But, we will still have the special toppings for the New York Style and Coney Island dogs.
So, as I started to say before my excursian, these sites are so good, that I wanted to share them with you guys! So, here are some of the links... Take a look and whet your appetite. Then, be sure to stop by on 10/10/10 at 10am in Denver to see us there and make your own hot dog!
